"250 Kilmore is an experience! Simone was awsome. We had 2 babies and came in on a very early flight and Simone was so kind to let us in super early. The home is remarkably renovated, almost too good for a rental. Induction stove, heated floors, great furnishings, comfortable beds. A little street noise from Kilmore, but the yard is fenced, beautifully maintained, and great central location for walking to town, restaurants and shops."

"Wow, I don’t even know what to say other than what a wonderful experience it was staying at Simone’s place. Yes it’s clean, yes it’s quiet and yes it has all the things you want in an Airbnb, but really that does not begin to encompass the overall experience Simone has created here.
I stayed at the house for three nights and it has every little thing you could ask for. Simone has the thought of all the details and it’s clear she cares deeply about the guest experience. But maybe more importantly than anything else is what a great person Simone is and how welcoming and comfortable she made our stay.
10 out 10 for the experience at Simone’s house and an 11 for Simone herself, what a tremendous person and the absolute embodiment of what all Airbnb hosts should aspire to be.
Thank you Simone, we truly enjoyed our stay and greatly appreciated the hospitality from you, Joe and the kids."

"A beautiful and lovingly restored colonial home. Very unique. Everything modern from a convenience standpoint. Simone is a gracious host and enthusiastic Christchurch citizen which added to the experience. Highly recommend this home for a stay in Christchurch"

"We stayed here for 9 days and it was perfect. The house was totally restored after the earthquake, and it shows. Very modern inside but preserving the classic look outside. There are three bedrooms with three new queen beds, and two bathrooms, both with showers. There is excellent off street parking (and even charging for electric cars). A full kitchen at the centre of the house, and a large TV. Immaculately clean. It is a 15-minute walk to Cathedral square and 2 minutes to Pomeroy's, a nice pub with good food. Also very close (5 min?) to the Avon river walk. The real highlight, though, is the owners, who live adjacent but very much respect privacy. We learned so much about the city from Simone. We'd go back in a heartbeat. "

"Was the best place we stayed in our 3 weeks in NZ. 3br, 2 bath perfect for our family of 5. Simone was an excellent and informative host.
The kitchen was so thoughtfully appointed with all the little extras that are so helpful when traveling. It was a super spot!!"

"A beautifully restored historic home within an easy walk to the city centre. Every home comfort you’d hope for and more. Liked the location amenities cleanliness "

"Simone was an excellent host. She reached out to us the day before we arrived and came over to show us around when we got there. The place had everything we needed, and also toys and a giant cardboard box that kept our youngest child entertained throughout. She was very knowledgeable about Christchurch and shared great recommendations for food and places to visit.

"The place is lovely. Spacious and comfortable. It has all the little things you need for a short stay. You can even find grocery bags. The design is modern but also includes some rustic details which creates a nice feeling. The owners are super friendly and helpful. "

" A fabulous new home, which was built in the same heritage style of the former house, but with all modern conveniences … It is very well located, walking distance to everything- the city, local cafes and restaurants, the Avon river and parks. We could not find anything to dislike "
- Simon, Nov '23

"Amazing house with all the comforts. Beautifully decorated inside and out and super clean. Our host was very welcoming.
It’s unique character and history made the stay that bit more special. It was so tastefully decorated, warm and comfortable with a fabulous location. I especially liked the two bathrooms which was great when with a group of ladies 😊"

"The best accommodation experience in New Zealand...
Near the Avon River in Christchurch, three bedrooms and two bathrooms, spacious and comfortable, well-equipped, it feels like coming home ❤️
WIFI is very smooth, the bedding is very comfortable, and there are many warm little rooms with details. The host is very friendly and talkative"

"The property was spotlessly clean with beautiful linens and curtains etc.
The historic building had been completely refurbished by the lovely owners whose home is to the rear of the property.
The owners were wonderful hosts you couldn’t do enough for us, they even provided fresh milk for our morning cuppa!
There is also a great pub (Pomeroy's) a short walk down the road that serves food too."

"It was hard to decide where to stay in Christchurch until we saw the photo of Simone and Joe's property...the red house with the blue door!
Then we realized it was an historic building, always a plus for us. It looked close to downtown and turned out to be within short walking distance.
When we arrived, Joe showed us into a beautiful, comfortable, perfect for us space that immediately felt like home. But the best was yet to come when we were able to talk with Simone, who (energetically) gave us invaluable information about Christchurch, and with both Joe and Simone to discuss life, values, commitments, principles, and goals for people in New Zealand, the US, everywhere.
We were so impressed with their hospitality, energy and dedication to doing what will make Christchurch and the world a better place. Thanks are not enough to express our feelings."

" We loved our stay at Simone’s beautifully refurbished home.
We had two families with children and it was very comfortable for all of us.
The history of the home and the incredible work Simone and family have put into it is quite something!
The location is very central, easy walking distance to the central city sights.
We loved our stay and would definitely stay again."

"Had a great time in Christchurch at Simone and Joe's home. This location is superb for walking and near one of the best breakfast spots in the city, Little Pom's.
The home was beautiful, with modern appliances, well thought out lighting, and spacious rooms. It was also extremely clean. The smart TV was appreciated and the Wifi was fast, while the front porch provided an excellent spot for morning recovery tea.
Our hosts were super responsive to questions and even provided some welcome local recommendations (Smash Palace!).
This was a wonderful find and I'd be happy to book with Simone and Jo again anytime. A group of 4+ can use this to dig into all the delights Christchurch has to offer."
- Dan, Feb '23
"Simone was very accommodating to our changing schedule; she and Joe know the area so well and are outstanding hosts.
The home was immaculate and comfortable. We will stay there again when we visit Christchurch."
- Forrest, Feb '23
"Beautiful house and lovely owner!!"
- Zoe, Feb '23
"Simone and Joe’s restored cottage is full of charm and character and yet is exceedingly luxurious, with very comfy beds, quality linens and towels and a well equipped kitchen for self catering.
It is deceptively spacious with plenty of room and every amenity you might require. The photos can’t reflect the warmth and feel of the place, it really is special.
The location was superb for walking down tree lined streets and along the river to town and handy to a local grocer (Piko) and cafe (Little Poms).
Simone was very responsive, welcoming and kind and full of local recommendations which did not disappoint. She happily accommodated our infant with a cute vintage high chair and baby plates and the boxes of Lego and Tin Tin comics were a huge hit with my 4 year old.
All in all a wonderful stay- I would recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in central Christchurch. Thanks Simone & Joe."

"This is a beautiful property! The restored house is a stunner. It was super clean and comfortable. The hosts have clearly put a lot of work and heart into the home. The home has some high-end finishes I wasn't expecting (the heated bathroom floors and neat windows come to mind), that we really enjoyed. Beautifully decorated.
The location was excellent. We were able to walk to dinner every night with friends and explore the city during the day without having to drive in. We stayed there with our 5 kids (ages 18 months to 14 years). There was plenty of space.
Simone and Joe were lovely hosts. Simone took the time to give us some recommendations for how to spend our time in Christchurch and they were spot on (not an easy feat for a group with a broad age range like ours).
If we ever get the chance to stay in Christchurch in the future we would be delighted to stay here again"
- Katie, Feb '23
"Simone and Joe have created such a beautiful home away from home. You can feel the love they have put into it.
The beds and pillows were so comfy, and the showers were amazing. Simone was incredibly easy to deal with and the communication was fantastic.
There's a gorgeous pub (Pomeroys) with fantastic food just a short stroll down the road, a really lovely cafe to grab your morning coffee (Little Pom's) , a beautiful nature reserve to stroll through, and it's a short work into the city center, even faster if you zip in on one of the many scooters dotted around the neighborhood
I cannot recommend Simone and 250 Kilmore St highly enough.'
